Welcome to Lynnwood High School!

The Lynnwood High staff and I welcome you to our website. As one of four comprehensive high schools in the Edmonds School District, we serve 1,400 students and their families. Rich in tradition and diversity, our community is a place that values and welcomes all.

At Lynnwood, we believe in Equity of Opportunity and success for all our students. All of our goals and strategic planning come with this core value in mind – we expect success for all and are committed to providing rigorous, supportive, and engaging learning environments for this to occur.

Here are a few quick highlights –

  • Lynnwood High graduates continue to make us proud by attending prestigious universities to success in countless industries.
  • We celebrate and appreciate our diversity. Over 40 languages are spoken at LHS, in addition to all the wonderful cultures represented.
  • Our advance placement program is large and diverse (from AP photography to calculus) with our students outpacing national averages on College Board assessments. AP courses are the most universally accepted way to accrue college credit in high school.
  • Our athletic program continues to send athletes and teams to district and state competitions every season.
  • Our rich elective program allows for students to explore, challenge and grow in areas that suit their talents and interests.
  • A music program (with state recognized and champion musicians) that puts on events highly touted and recognized in our community.
  • A CTE program that, in partnership with local businesses, prepares our students with 21st century skills and knowledge.
  • Inclusive Special Education and ELL programs that offer individualized support for our students.
  • A staff that is committed to learning and providing what it means to be a Culturally Responsive school (as a result we are one of the first schools in the state to run an Ethnic Studies program). And so much more!
